When Katie contact and told me she would be having a winter wedding at Publick House Sturbridge Wedding I got really excited! In getting to know them, they decided to do an engagement session in ma at the Rail Trail Park in West Boylston. That is when I met Bobby for the first time. Katie and Bobby are one of the sweetest couples there is. You can constantly see both of them with the biggest smiles. It is very clear that they love each other and that they make each other happy!
Their wedding ceremony was at a local catholic St. Mary’s church in Shrewsbury MA, their ceremony was performed by Katie’s uncle which made it to be very special to them! Their wedding reception was at one of my favorite wedding venues in Massachusetts. Charming, with lots of character and great backgrounds for wedding photos. A Publick House Sturbridge wedding is always amazing! Katie and her mom planned the wedding decor to be a winter theme, but done very elegantly! I looooove the table setting, simple & classy with lots of white and sparkles, perfect for a winter wedding! Touches of soft pink was in their flowers, which gave a happy and warm look. It was my absolute pleasure to be their wedding photographer and get to work with them and their families.
Here is how they got engaged told by Katie:
“A week before he proposed I showed Bobby a picture of the ring I thought was beautiful. He told me it would take about 3 months to make so I was thinking he would propose in the fall/winter. That Friday he asked if I would help him collect rocks at a nearby lake/beach for a project he wanted to make me. I love anything to do with crafts so of course I fell for it! There was no one around and he pulled out a notebook with a letter in it and I told him I would read it later! He told me to read it now and when I read the last sentence he was on one knee!!! I was shocked for a good few minutes! He definitely surprised me!!! When we went back to my house my family was there ready to celebrate!”
